AVANI PALIKKAL AJI

Principle Dancer/Assistant Teacher

Avani Aji is the youngest performer in the team, but her skill is unmatached! She dances along with and in par with the senior most students, it is a true testament of her effort. Avani has been learning Kuchipudi under Guru Gomathi Boorada for the past 10 years. She has had training under renowned artists such as Sri Surendranadh Muramalla, Smt. Bijina Balakrishnan, Smt. Padmavani Mosalikanti and Smt. Sreelakshmy Govardhanan.

She is a member of the performing team accompanying them nationally, and now internationally next Summer! Avani is notably one of the youngest members to join the Company, she accompanied the team to the Great India Festival in 2018 and has been a familiar face since. She is a frequent performer at the Broadway Saskatoon, Great India Festival, Kaleido Festival, Alberta Government and the SkirtsAFire Festival. Avani is an Assistant Teacher at the Institute, additionally accompanying her Guru to various lectures, workshops and demonstrations.

Outside of Dance, Avani is currently completing her High School Diploma. She is a talented artist and in her free time she enjoys art, music and exploring Canadas scenery hiking.
