
VISMAYA BHAGAVATHI PARAMBATH
Principle Dancer/Instructor
Vismaya Bhagavathi Parambath is a dedicated student who has been learning Kuchipudi for the
past nine years under her Guru Gomathi Boorada. Vismaya
discovered her passion for pursuing dance after moving to Canada in 2012. Over the years, she
has trained under deemed artists such as Sri. Surendranath Muramalla, Smt. Padmavathi
Mosalikanti, and Sri. Venkat Vedantam. In 2020, she attended a Kuchipudi workshop by Smt.
Srilakshmi Govardhanan, as well Sri. Venu G’s Navarasa Sadhana workshop in 2021.
Being one of the senior performers at Shivamanohari School of Performing Arts, she continues
to perform both nationally and internationally. Under the guidance and training of her Guru, she
is one of the lead dancers in the Shivamanohari Company. She is a frequent face at the Great India Festival, Indian Consulate, Indonesian Consulate, Kaleido Festival and SkirtsAFire festival. Her versatility is showcased through the various roles she has
taken on while being a part of several productions. She played the role of Bhrungi in the colorful
production of Shivé. In 2021/2022, she was a Lead Dancer in the production of
Shivamanohari, playing the Lead Role of Lord Shiva. Alongside her teammates, in 2019 she
participated in a cultural exchange program with the University of Gadjah Madah in Indonesia
and had the opportunity to present the Kuchipudi repertoire. Vismaya is now anInstructor at the Shivamanohari School of Performing Arts.

Currently, Vismaya is pursuing her Undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of
Alberta. Outside of school and dance, she is an active, adventurous individual who loves
spending time outdoors as well as acquiring new skills. Dance continues to be an avenue for
Vismaya to challenge and express herself while also being a journey of self-discovery.
